Lars Koole

Lars Koole is a co-founder of RankYak and has worked in SEO since 2021, on the side where a strategy has to become a live page: inside agencies, alongside them, for clients directly, and in-house on the products being ranked. He is a software engineer by trade, which is how that page gets built. Before RankYak he founded companies of his own, two of which were acquired. At RankYak he owns the engineering and everything AI, and works out the solution and the implementation of each new feature.

Where the strategy becomes code

Lars has worked in SEO since 2021: inside agencies, alongside agencies, for clients directly, and in-house on the products being ranked. In each of those places his seat was the same one, the point where a plan has to turn into a page that is actually live. He is a software engineer by trade, close enough to marketers for years to see where their work broke, and that is the seat that taught him where it does. The crawl that stalls, the CMS that mangles the markup, the article that is written but never published. That is the part most SEO tools stop short of.

Engineering and everything AI

At RankYak, Lars owns the engineering and everything AI. That is the pipeline that researches a keyword against the pages ranking for it, writes the article, and cites its sources; the integrations that publish to WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Wix, Ghost, and the rest; and the MCP server that puts the platform inside an AI assistant. When a new feature is planned, he works out the solution that fits and implements it.

Companies before this one

Lars built and ran SaaS companies before RankYak, two of which were acquired. When the launch went out to the press, he was the co-founder they quoted.

The articles below publish under Lars's name. The editorial policy describes how each one is researched, written, and kept current.
