The article overview

The articles page lists everything RankYak has written for your project, with search, filters, and publish states.

The article overview lists every article RankYak has generated for your project, from the newest to the very first. You may reach it through Articles in the left-hand menu. Each row links through to the full article, so this page is the starting point for reading and editing your content.

Filtering by publish state

Four tabs above the list filter the articles by where they stand.

Tab What it shows
All Every article, regardless of state.
Published Articles that are live on your site, whether published through an integration or marked as published manually.
Needs republish Published articles that were edited after their last publish, so your site does not have the latest version yet.
Unpublished Articles that have not been published anywhere yet.

The Needs republish tab is the one to check after a round of editing; editing an article explains how to push those changes to your site.

Searching

The search field above the list matches both the article title and the keyword the article was written for, so you may find older content by either.

The columns

Column Meaning
Title The article's title. While an article is still being written, the row shows a spinner and a placeholder instead.
Keyword The keyword the article targets.
Latest achievement The most recent milestone the article reached, such as being published, being indexed by Google, or receiving a backlink. Hovering over the badge shows the details.
Published date The date the article most recently went live. If the article has been republished since its first publish, hovering shows the original publish date. A dash means the article is unpublished.
Created date The date the article was generated.

With Google Search Console connected, the achievement milestones extend to impressions, clicks, and ranking positions, so the overview doubles as a quick read on how each article is performing.

Articles that are generating

While an article is being written, its row updates on its own until generation completes; there is no need to refresh the page. Of course, you may also click through to the article itself and watch it being written; see viewing an article.
