An assistant built into RankYak that answers questions about your project and makes changes for you.
The copilot is a chat assistant built into the RankYak app. It reads and manages the project you are working in, so instead of clicking through the app you may simply describe what you want: the copilot looks up the answer in your account, or makes the change and confirms what it did. Everything it does happens through the same actions you may take yourself, on the account you are signed in to.
The copilot lives in the input bar at the bottom of every project page. Click the bar and it expands: a few quick prompts appear to get you started, and once a conversation exists, focusing the bar reopens it. From the panel header you may step back to a list of your recent conversations, where you may resume one, start a new one, or delete one you no longer need. Conversations belong to the project you are in, so each project keeps its own history.
Anything you would otherwise do by hand in the app is fair game. A few examples:
Behind the scenes, the copilot works with your keywords and topics, the content plan and calendar, your articles and their revisions, publishing, goal pages, integrations, your search performance and backlinks, project settings, and team invitations. One mechanism is worth knowing: articles are written in the early morning of their scheduled date, so when you ask for an article about a subject, the copilot adds the keyword and schedules it rather than writing the article on the spot.
Each conversation starts fresh; the copilot does not carry memory from one chat into the next. However, your earlier conversations in the project are kept, and the copilot searches them when an answer likely lives there: when you mention something from a previous chat, or when you wonder how your account ended up in its current state. Because those are records of the past rather than live data, the copilot double-checks your current account before acting on anything it finds.
The copilot confirms destructive changes before making them. Anything that removes or replaces something, such as archiving keywords or regenerating the content plan, is stated first, and the copilot waits for your go-ahead.
Some things stay in the app: billing, subscriptions, and plan changes are managed on your organization's billing page, and deleting projects, organizations, or members is only possible in the app itself. The copilot will point you to the right page. Finally, the copilot is a work tool, so it politely declines requests that have nothing to do with your SEO work.
If you would like these same capabilities in an assistant outside the app, see the MCP server.
Ask the copilot inside RankYak for an instant answer about your own account, or send us an email and a human will get back to you.
