Duda

The Duda integration lets RankYak publish articles directly to the blog on your Duda site. The connection is made with the API credentials from your Duda dashboard, and once a site is selected, every new article is posted automatically, either live or as a draft for your review. If the site does not have a blog yet, RankYak creates one on the first publish.

Finding your API credentials

The Duda API is available on Duda's Custom plan. If your plan includes it, the credentials live in your dashboard:

1. Sign in to your Duda dashboard.
2. Open Settings, then API Access.
3. If you have not used the API before, click Request API Access.
4. Copy the API Username and API Password.

If you do not see the API Access section, you should contact Duda support to enable it for your account.

Connecting in RankYak

Go to Settings, then Integrations, and click Connect next to Duda. Paste the API Username and API Password into the matching fields and click Connect. RankYak tests the connection immediately, so a typo in either value is caught on the spot.

Selecting a site

After connecting, RankYak opens the integration settings and lists the sites in your Duda account. Select the site the articles should be published to and click Save. Publishing starts with the next scheduled article. Of course, you may change the selected site at any time by clicking Edit settings next to the connection.

Publishing as drafts

If you would like to review each article before it goes live, enable Publish articles as draft in the same settings. Articles then arrive in your Duda blog as drafts, so you may review and publish them from the Duda editor on your own terms.

Updating published articles

Duda's API does not allow changing a blog post's content in place. So, when an article is refreshed or rewritten in RankYak, the old post is removed and a new one is created under the same URL, with the original publish date restored. The post keeps its place in your blog feed and its address does not change; however, any manual edits made to the post inside Duda are replaced by the new version.

Disconnecting

To stop publishing to Duda, go to Settings, then Integrations, and click Disconnect next to the connection. Publishing stops immediately; posts already on your blog are not affected. You may also reset the API password in your Duda dashboard afterwards.
