A short tour of RankYak's main areas and where to read more about each.
RankYak is built around a handful of systems that run on a daily rhythm: keyword research feeds the content plan, the plan schedules articles, articles are published to your site, and backlinks build authority alongside. Each system runs on its own, and each may be reviewed and adjusted whenever you like. This page gives a short tour of every area and links to the article that covers it in depth.
RankYak analyzes your website and discovers the keywords your audience searches for, each scored by monthly search volume and keyword difficulty. Discovery keeps running in the background, so new opportunities keep arriving without manual research, and related keywords are grouped into topics so your content builds authority in clusters rather than as isolated articles. Of course, you may also add keywords of your own at any time. Read more in keyword discovery and keyword metrics.
Each month, RankYak selects the best keywords from your pool and schedules one article per day on a calendar. The plan balances quick wins against the long-term positions that take months to earn, and before an article is written you may swap its keyword, move its date, or remove it entirely. Read more in the content plan and the calendar.
Each article is written in the early morning of its scheduled date. It is researched, outlined, and written as a long-form piece with structured headings, a meta description, internal links to your other pages, citations, and a header image, all in your brand voice and the language of your project. You may edit any article before or after it is published. Read more in article generation and editing articles.
Finished articles are published to your site automatically through an integration: WordPress, WordPress.com, Shopify, Wix, and Webflow are supported directly, and Make, Zapier, the API, an RSS feed, and webhooks cover everything else. If you would like to review each article before it goes live, you may publish as drafts instead. Read more in publishing articles.
Through the backlink exchange, your site receives links from other vetted websites in the network, placed contextually inside their articles. This steadily builds your domain authority without any outreach on your part. Read more in the backlink exchange.
The copilot is a chat assistant inside RankYak that operates your account for you. You may ask it to add keywords, adjust the content plan, look up an article, or change your project settings, and it performs the same actions you would otherwise take in the interface. If you would prefer to work from your own AI tools, RankYak also exposes the same capabilities through an MCP server. Read more in the copilot and MCP.
Ask the copilot inside RankYak for an instant answer about your own account, or send us an email and a human will get back to you.
