What the 3-day trial includes, how the setup guide walks you through your first article, and how to start your subscription.
Every RankYak subscription begins with a 3-day free trial. The trial is the full product rather than a limited preview, so the three days show you exactly what a paid subscription looks like. You do not need to enter a payment method to start; the trial simply ends after three days unless you decide to start your subscription.
The trial includes everything: keyword research, the topical map, the content calendar, article generation, every publishing integration, the backlink exchange, and the copilot. There is no separate trial tier, so what you see during the trial is what the subscription delivers.
The trial carries its own credit allowance, sized for three days of use: 3 articles, 100 audit pages, 3 page fixes, and 1 cannibalization audit. You may follow it on the Usage page. Once your subscription starts, your plan's full monthly allowances take over.
The trial covers a single site. If you would like to add more sites to your organization, you may do so once your subscription starts.
During the trial, you take each step yourself once, guided by the setup guide in the sidebar. When you confirm your core topics during setup, RankYak researches them right away, and your first task is to review what it found: the run's keyword clusters wait for you, you reject the ones that do not fit, and approving the run puts the rest on your topical map. From there you pick a keyword and write your first article, publish it to your site, and plan the articles after it on the calendar. Each step explains the concept it introduces, so by the end you know exactly what RankYak does and why.
You may take the steps in any order and from any page; the guide simply tracks what is done. If you would rather explore on your own, the whole application is open to you from the start.
Once you have done a full pass by hand, each step has its own switch that hands it to RankYak, and you turn on exactly the ones you want: automatic keyword research and auto-approval on the Research tab, auto-scheduling and auto-publishing on the calendar, and all four in your site settings. With everything on, RankYak works the way it does for every subscriber: keyword research keeps expanding your topical map, the content plan fills your calendar every month, each planned article is written on its scheduled morning, and finished articles are published to your site through your integration. See changing the schedule and publishing articles.
If you connect an integration such as WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Webflow, or WordPress.com, each finished article is published to your site automatically, either live or as a draft for your review. Without an integration, articles simply collect in RankYak and you may copy or export them whenever you like.
While the trial is running, a bar at the top of the app shows how many days remain and offers to start your subscription. Clicking Start subscription lets you pick a plan and its billing interval, and takes you to a secure checkout where you enter your payment details; your subscription begins as soon as the checkout completes. Everything you generated during the trial carries over, and articles keep arriving without interruption. You may review your subscription at any time on your organization's billing page.
If you have not started a subscription by the end of the third day, the trial simply expires: your site is deactivated, article generation stops, and nothing is charged. There is nothing to cancel, and the articles you generated remain in your account. Of course, you may start a subscription at any point afterwards to reactivate your site and pick up where you left off.
